Lemonheads - 10 years after

After 10 years, The Lemonheads' new album The Lemonheads is here! Since the band has never been broken apart, so we can not say that they are reunited. Talking about The Lemonheads, I heard their last album Car Button Cloth years ago. I was then wondering if they were another BritPop band -- I have to say at that time I was very disappointed about most of the American Alternative Pop/Rock bands. I enjoyed that album for a long time and I thought that some tracks of the album were even better than Travis. Sometimes people may hardly tell them from the Fool's Garden, because of the very famous song : Lemon Tree, ha ha. Just remember, they are the Lemonheads and they are nothing related with a lemon tree.

AMG gives a 4 star to this new album, I’m gonna stick to it this afternoon.

What is your favorite scent?

Maybe this sounds weird: I love the scent of the dirt after the rain. That is … er … I mean, you can smell the scent of our earth.

But in this city, I can seldom smell this because there are no as much rains as I expected. Even if there was a rain, it won't be a normal RAIN. The sky is always gray and the rain comes down with dirt, you have to get your car washed after the rain or you’ll see nothing out of your window. Yes, I’m talking about Beijing – a modern ruin, a cage for humans.

Big City Rock rocks!

Big City Rock

Since when didn’t I listen to Bon Jovi or Aerosmith anymore? I don’t remember. But I know that I am in the period of hating Pop and Hip-hop and could not find a new Rock band. Recently, I listened too much Indie and BritPop, those bands were great but made me feel a little sick and lazy.

So, when I occasionally heard of the Big City Rock, that really cheered me up. They successfully mixed Pop and Rock up, that’s amazing. The band sent great melody and fast upbeat music right into my ear, and my body. The journey of enjoying their debut album is fantastic, sometimes I even thought that I was in the 80's, because all the songs were just represented what’s Rock N’ Roll – simple and easy, rock your body and roll your soul.

I have to say: Big City Rock rocks!

The countdown

A new countdown for 100 days has been started. It will be last to February of next year – just the beginning of the spring. I wish I could get a better answer while it ends. Thank god I feel so good!
